AKTA stands for All Kerala Tailors Association, is one of the top welfare organization for tailors in Kerala. AKTA charitable trust was established in 2006 for the welfare of sewing workers in Kerala. AKTA is a non profitable organization in Kerala provides disability pension, therapeutic support and educational assistance for all sewing workers and financially backward people in Kerala. AKTA Fashion Designing & Garment Technology provides fashion designing courses with the approval of the Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala. In addition to the traditional sewing machine, many of the imported sophisticated sewing machines are taught with the help of specialist-led classes.
